November 12, 2025 -  Ladies Day at Long Beach LBC

Ladies Day is always so much fun.  Long Beach hosted our November Ladies Day, and their hospitality was fabulous.  Everyone enjoyed their breakfast items and the great selection of salads and desserts for lunch.  

We had 34 ladies from 8 different SW Division clubs.  I am pleased to have many ladies talk about enjoying meeting ladies from different clubs and having such a good time.  The clubs joining us for the day were Casta del Sol LBC, Hermosa Beach LBC, Holmby LBC, Laguna Beach LBC, Laguna Woods LBC, Long Beach LBC, Newport Harbor LBC, and Santa Ana LBC.    

And now for our results of this day’s bowling.

In the morning, 12 ends were played and the winners were:

1st Place:  Phyllis Mitchell. Cindy Jones, Mary Sanchez

2nd Place: Linda Bator, Patty Doidge, Amy Toy

3rd Place: Catherine Early, Connie Delgado, Merrill Stanton

The afternoon game of 10 ends was won by:

1st Place:   Shelley Cohen, Diane Prior, Eleanor Reafsnyder

2nd Place:  Diana Wenzel, Sandra Mironesco, Karen Shorr

3rd Place: Norma Goodhart, Vicki Wong, Kathy Becker

We have only one more Ladies Day for 2025.  This is our big Holiday Luncheon held at Laguna Woods on Wednesday, December 17th.  I hope to see a big group attending.  Lots of fun with one game of bowling in the morning and then we have a luncheon.  Everyone dresses in their fun and casual holiday attire.  Everyone attending brings a wrapped gift and we sell opportunity drawing tickets to win these prizes.  RSVP and payment of $25 payable to SWD must be received by December 10th.  Hope to see you there.
