October 8, 2025 - Ladies Day at Casta del Sol Lawn Bowling Pavilion

Casta del Sol hosted our Ladies Day, and their hospitality was amazing. Upon arrival, there were delicious sweets, deviled eggs, and fruit. For lunch, we had a wonderful variety of salads and amazing homemade desserts. The hospitality greeted us with open arms and even supplied bottled water. Ten clubs were represented: Casta del Sol, Holmby, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Long Beach, Newport Harbor, San Diego, Santa Ana, The Groves, and a guest, Michele Lary, visiting from Pittsburgh, PA. So nice to welcome out-of-towners to bowl with us. Another newcomer to our Ladies Day was Kathryn Williams from Casta del Sol.

And now for our results of this day’s bowling.

In the morning, 12 ends were played, and the winners were:

1st Place: Doreen Hall, Terri Bisch, Val Blackholly

2nd Place: Phyllis Mitchell, Chris Adams, Janell Williams

3rd Place tie: Joan Narmontas, Catherine Early, Amy Toy

The afternoon game of 10 ends was won by:

1st Place: Norma Goodhart, Patty Doidge, Vicki Wong

2nd Place: Michele Lary, Tracy Simons, Deborah Long

3rd Place: Diane Wenzel, Merrill Stanton

2nd and 3rd Place was decided by a one-bowl roll-off with the Skips. Their plus points were tied.
